Anyone knows who Hekkla, the creator of these dubstep tracks is? Just got tipped by the man (or woman?) himself with his/her brand new Soundcloud profile.
The weird thing is that he/she uses Hekkla as a name for his act, the same same name I used for one of my tracks… Is he mocking me or does he/she want something from else from me?
Sounds like a pro tho!

Proud we are! Not only on Tilburg but also on my (our) little brother who forms the blackmetal band Nihill, together with Vincent K. They just released their second album called Grond on Hydra Head Records and it got very good reviews. Listen to a track of the album here.

Some serious talents are coming above ground, like it often does in places where it’s been grey for a while. Musicians, festivals, tattoo artists, graphic designers, motion designers, ilustrators, you name it, are blooming up.
New Tilburg based band Hooghwater is riding this wave proud. The rocky sound easily makes your upperlip rise to your nose while you are knodding your head to the music. Great charisma mixed with a new sound: could be a super band in the making. Made you curious? Check out their myspace.

The illustration couple LouLou & Tummie are a perfect example of this wave. Every piece they make is fantastic. Not only in Holland they rock the country, rumours go that they even cannot cross the Taiwan streets without shades these days.
Incubate is coming up! This superfestival in our hometown Tilburg that used to carry the name ZXZW, is held from september 13 to september 20. Make sure you are there to discover the bands and the artists of tomorrow.
BTW, rumors go that some people are organising that Tyree Cooper will do some dj spinning at the informal afterparty @ Club Vault at the Freshheads / Archibald Kobayashi studios on saturday night… Keep reading our blog for more updates!

We all will be there. Friday the 19th of june in 013 in Tilburg at Klub Tilt. Katarie will be dj-ing (first in line, so come early). Seacapatain Plonk E did the graphics, Mickey Tilburg will be there to hear Katarie play his record and me, Archie Koba, is sponsoring the gig. Then next to residents Guido Wemen and Jonathan Mendiola, Eva Maria will be headlining and Ginman & K Drive will be doing a live set. Would be nice if you could come!

Is the world champion breakdancing and he’s from… Tilburg. That brings a small tear to our eyes. That’s because our own Seacaptain Plonk E used to dance break in the streets of Tilburg the time Beat Street came out in the early eighties. Although he never even could fix the windmill, Da Plonk is ever so proud to see young Menno conquer that title.
