Documentary about the legendary Sailor Jerry, who was probably the most influential tattoo artist in the USA at the time. Being a true patriot, his mission was to get American tattooing better then Japanese. Great footage of men with hoarse voices and skins filled up with ink.

A slideshow on the BBC website with impressive photo’s (Araminta de Clermont) of South African (ex) inmates full with tattoos. The inmates tell the story about how and why they got them while the slides pass.
Nice collection of pictures with some really bad tattoos. But, are they really bad? Aren’t they just advanced really? Because in 20 years from now they will probably end up in a book like this and then they will be looked upon as state of the art original pieces.
The one Archie has on his shoulder suits this collection pretty well actually! So that means we’re pretty hip doesn’t it?
