Fine piece of live music by gentleman Daedelus with the help of a Monome.

BJ tipped me with this mix from DJ icon and legend Daniele Baldini, recorded in the late 70’s or early 80’s, is the guess at The Ghetto Disco Blog. Get cosmic y’all!
I stopped using Roman digits, because I don’t remember how to put a 19. Anyway, of course Windowlicker had to be one of our best tracks ever. Not only because it has that fantastic video clip by Cunningham but it also contains by far the best orgasmic musical climax ever made (on 8:18 minutes). Seriously, it gives me goose skin and an overdose of endorphine at the same time.
Yeehaa! British hero Nathank Fake from Border Community is playing on our own Klub Tilt on friday the 26th of march in 013, Tilburg! Also Dutch talent Applescal will be hitting the decks next to residents Guido and Jonathan. I am deejaying with my Smalltown Underground mates in the 013 Café and we (Sea Captain Plonk E) also did the design for the posters and flyers again. Many thanks go out to Tobias (model), Fina (photographer), Vio (concept and planning).
See you all there!

Grimey and original hiphop tunes from from back in the days. Isn’t Ramellzee a serious candidate for Incubate 2010? We will pay half! ;-)
These images are warming my heart. I really do know what those guys are feeling at that specific moment in time, on that carpet, with those clothes, with those people around them who don’t have a clue what they are doing. Because I’ve had the same experience with my crew in 1985 on my local schoolyard. We felt on top of the world. Heroes!
(Thanks Willem!)
Silver Apples with Lovefingers is our new best track ever. From 1968, do you all understand.
Here we go again! The Hill Street Clappers step the stage one more time. Disco dancing all night looong baby. This mix is more or less the summum of all my favourite tracks of 2009. Vinyl and mp3, what the hell, all mixed up. Put these tracks on your iPads, pods, quads, whatever, and your feet will start shuffling for sure.
Next mix I wil try and add some voice of my own like my heroe deejeays Tim Sweeney and Bill Brewster do on their podcasts. So keep posted! Oh, and if anyone wants to put out his or her mix here? Just contact me.
The tracks that I used:
1. Absolute Voltage - Jay Sheheard - Compost Black
2. OOFT / The Revenge - This Sound - Instruments of Rapture
3. Raw Cuts #6 - Motor City Drum Ensemble
4. The Sunlamp Show (Disco Bloodbath Remix) - The Aliens - Channel 83
5. Vacuum Boogie - Floating Points - Eglo

Our Norwegian friend Dolle Jolle mailed us this week that he has to play Melkweg tonight with his friend and other Oslowegian nu-cosmic-disco hero Todd Terje with their Shari Vari concept . We are going for sure. Want to come along?
Ok, but that is one badass robot wrestler.
(Thanks Wogo!)
Quite a long but very swinging version of Happy House by The Juan MacLean to help you get going for your night out tonight. Mind the happy (house) people at 3:00 minutes. Made me smile.
Btw. The Drummer, Jerry Fuchs, who also played for LCD soundsystem, Moby, MSTRKRFT, sadly passed away last year by falling into an elevator shaft. RIP.
(Found on Eclectro)
For, I believe the third year in a row, my dear friends from Freshheads put together ‘the dancetrack of the year election widget’ for Dutch leading blog on electronic music: Eclectro. Through a simple and honest voting system the track of 2009 will emerge in the end of december. Oh, and some of the tracks you can vote for are selected by me, Katarie. So fly fly fly and go check it out!
Put the greatest synthesizer gurus of the eighties together and you’ll get digital orgasms like this. If you combine this video of Thomas Dolby, Herbie Hancock, Howard Jones, and Stevie Wonder with some Kraftwerk you’ll get the inspiriration source for a sketch by one of the greatest sketch shows on earth.
(Thanks Heeswijk!)
Everybody who knows youtube, knows this man. The Techno Viking was filmed by Matthias Fritsch, and this ultimate viral generated over 20.000.000 clicks. Fritsch did a small exhibition about this internet phenomenon, called: Technoviking Archive, with one of the most funniest remakes:

Hidyho people of the good life,
It’s been a while, but here we are again, with a new episode of the Radio Kobayashi podcast. This time I crawled deep into the darkest, dampiest depths of my record and mp3 collection to find the most stressy, dark, slow, heavy, mean and cutting techno beats to mix a perfect autumn musical experience.
Enjoy the ride and watch those leaves and the rain fall down!

I mean, man, look at that car stereo… And the dude driving the car… You can buy this record by only looking at this video without the sound on. Even then you know it’s good.
(Thanks Vio!)
“Say it loud! I love rap and I’m proud!” Hardcore B-Boying by the inventor of gansta rap, Schoolly D, from the time when we were backspinnin’ on cartboard on the Heuvel. A tip for Incubate 2010 maybe? I promise you Joost, I will break some dance again ; )
That is what we’re goin’ to do, one month from now.
But first: Incubate!
Last weekend was fun. I went out two times, on friday and sunday. On friday I went out with a couple of good friends to see Carl Graig, one of my heroes, doing a dj set at 10DaysOff in Gent, Belgium. Pretty awkward night, since for the first time in, let’s say 20 years, I didn’t use any narcotics or boose, on such a night. Quite pathetic to say all this but I feel very happy about that. And on top of that, I had a fantastic night! Will do this more in the future, maybe even allways.
And on sunday I went out to see something quite the opposite: Jerry Lee Lewis. We saw this old man rockin’ the place in Tilburg, our hometown, using only his voice and hands, because the rest didn’t work too well anymore. Also a special night because I was there with my father, my brother and my wife. Some friends of mine took their fathers as well. It was touching to see our old mans swinging to the Carl Graig of their time. Can’t decide which was the better night. Don’t have to actually.
