Besides creating their own stuff and exposing it here, the Kobayashi group strolls the net for all eye and ear candy to share with you. Music, art, design, film, fun, you name it. Every day new posts, every day Archibald Kobayashi… more >>
Got tipped by my friend KRD about this small docu from 1991 about De Familie Knok (The Rambler Family). A family which terrorised almost the whole village of Oosterhout. Great footage of a valium pills popping, heavy drinking, Ritalin using, modern outlaw family who feared nobody and intimidated everybody around them. With verve.
A set up offcourse and good PR for Mother, but I think it’s kind of funny that some money is going to Nigeria at last. But to charity instead of those Nigerian money scam spammers that have been active since internet is alive.
Strong phtography by Davide Faggiano. These black heads remind me of a Dutch Veenlijk, a body found in typical Dutch swampy dark soil which was conserved hundreds of years.
Stumbled upon this scene from one of my favorite youth movies: Airplane! The movie was directed by the Zucker brothers, and it was a kick off for more movies with the same kind of humor, like Top Secret and later the Police Squad and Naked Gun series. For the youngsters among us: Go and see!
Note: the pilot on the left who plays Roger is in fact Kareem Abdul Jabbar, one of the best NBA basketball players of all time. He was, together with Magic Johnson (you know, the one with aids), very succesful for the LA Lakers in the late 80’s, early 90’s. Also Kareem played another bizarre character, who had to fight the legendary Bruce Lee in Game of Death, another favorite youth movie of mine. Also go and see that one peeps!
I mean, we had to stay on the airport in Bangkok for 5 hours last week to wait for our transfer flight, and I so wanted to lie down, but there are only hard uncomfortable seats you will find on every airport.
For, I believe the third year in a row, my dear friends from Freshheads put together ‘the dancetrack of the year election widget’ for Dutch leading blog on electronic music: Eclectro. Through a simple and honest voting system the track of 2009 will emerge in the end of december. Oh, and some of the tracks you can vote for are selected by me, Katarie. So fly fly fly and go check it out!
Put the greatest synthesizer gurus of the eighties together and you’ll get digital orgasms like this. If you combine this video of Thomas Dolby, Herbie Hancock, Howard Jones, and Stevie Wonder with some Kraftwerk you’ll get the inspiriration source for a sketch by one of the greatest sketch shows on earth.
Drop your 2.0 identities in de Web 2.0 Suicide Machine and feel free again. I’m sincerely thinking of using this website in 2010 since the Facebooks and Linked Ins of this world are annoying me more and more if I’m honest.
Hi Folks! Excuse us for not uploading 2 posts every day, but we’re here for vacation at the moment. So not so much time for blogging you might understand. During the day most of the time we are laying in the pool or we are swimming in the Andaman Sea, spending what looks like a gazilion Bath on coctails and Singha. In the evening we mostly are stuffing our bellies full with Thai food (see the picture above) to after that stroll the city in slow gear, where we spend even more Baths on Singha, coctails and massages. Damn, sometimes life’s fair.
